India has been a land of sufi, saints, sufi scholars, researchers and academic cum spiritual traditions. Since thousand years people of India have been celebrating their relationship with those great pesonalities who have enriched India with their contributions in the field of Tasawwuf and spirituality, but it is matter of big grief that their academic works are lost in the darkness of history, though preserved in the libararies in the form of manuscripts but still not published.
Khanqah-e-Arifia is a modern spiritual centre representing Chishtiya Nizamia Safavia sufi order established by Hazrat Sultan-ul-Arifeen Shah Arif Safi Mohamadi quddisa sirruhu (Died: 1320 A.H / 1903 A.D) in 1298 A.H /1881A.D currently run under the supervision of Daiye Islam Hazrat Shaikh Abu Saeed Shah Ehsanullah Mohammadi Safavi (Born in: 1377 A.H / 1957 A.D) the present Sajjadah nasheen and spiritual master of this Khanqah. In this modern era, he is playing a povital role in establishment of peace, propagation of sufi values and literature. Khanqah-e-Arifia in modern time, is actively engaged in spreading Tasawwuf in theory & practice.
Shah Safi Academy was founded in the campus of Khanqah-e-Arifia in 2008 with an aim to work on ancient sufi manuscripts, academically by editing, translation, research, and to compile new books to present Tasawwuf in very academic and attractive modern form. This academy has done tremendous work within a very short span of time and is continuing its services with a team of modern spiritual cum intellectual scholars under the benign guidance of Daiye Islam Hazrat Shaikh Abu Saeed Shah Ehsanullah Mohammadi Safavi.
